Limits of $\alpha$-harmonic maps [PDF]
Critical points of approximations of the Dirichlet energy \`{a} la Sacks-Uhlenbeck are known to converge to harmonic maps in a suitable sense. However, we show that not every harmonic map can be approximated by critical points of such perturbed energies. Indeed, we prove that constant maps and the rotations of $S^2$ are the only critical points of $E_{\

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Harmonicity of horizontally conformal maps and spectrum of the Laplacian
We discuss the harmonicity of horizontally conformal maps and their relations with the spectrum of the Laplacian. We prove that if Φ:M→N is a horizontally conformal map such that the tension field is divergence free, then Φ is harmonic. Furthermore, if N

Mapping the Calogero model on the anyon model
We explicitly map the N-body one dimensional Calogero eigenstates in a harmonic well to the lowest Landau level sector of N-body eigenstates of the two dimensional anyon model in a harmonic well.

Monopoles and harmonic maps [PDF]
Recently Jarvis has proved a correspondence between SU(N) monopoles and rational maps of the Riemann sphere into flag manifolds. Furthermore, he has outlined a construction to obtain the monopole fields from the rational map. In this paper we examine this construction in some detail and provide explicit examples for spherically symmetric SU(N ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Multi-Robot Exploration Employing Harmonic Map Transformations
Robot Exploration can be used to autonomously map an area or conduct search missions in remote or hazardous environments. Using multiple robots to perform this task can improve efficiency for time-critical applications. In this work, a distributed method

Some results and examples of the biharmonic maps with potential
In this paper, we will study the class of biharmonic maps with potential, in the particular case represented by conformal maps between equidimensional manifolds. Some examples are constructed in particular cases (Euclidean space and sphere).

Conformal Mapping on Rough Boundaries I: Applications to harmonic problems
The aim of this study is to analyze the properties of harmonic fields in the vicinity of rough boundaries where either a constant potential or a zero flux is imposed, while a constant field is prescribed at an infinite distance from this boundary.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
