Comparitive study of the influence of harmonic voltage distortion on the efficiency of induction machines versus line start permanent magnet machines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Induction machines have nearly reached their maximal efficiency. In order to further increase the efficiency the use of permanent magnets in combination with the robust design of the induction machine is being extensively researched. These so-called line

Concept level evaluation of the optical voltage and current sensors and an arrayed waveguide grating for aero-electrical system applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper we present, for the first time, the hybrid fiber-optic voltage and current sensors interrogated using an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) device.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Discreteness-induced resonances and AC voltage amplitudes in long one-dimensional Josephson junction arrays

open access: yes, 1997
New resonance steps are found in the experimental current-voltage characteristics of long, discrete, one-dimensional Josephson junction arrays with open boundaries and in an external magnetic field.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

DFIG Harmonic Current Controlling with the Grid Low Harmonic Voltage

open access: yesResearch Journal of Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, 2014
This study presents a vector control strategy based on stator harmonic current closed-loop, it adds individually the control loop about of each stator harmonic current to restrain the stator harmonic current, in order to meet the THD criteria. The control strategy of restraining the harmonic current presents the design of the stator harmonic current ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Harmonic distortion in public low-voltage grids Comparison of the situation in Colombia and Germany

open access: yesIngeniería e Investigación, 2015
Current and voltage harmonic levels in LV grids depend not only on the harmonic emission of non-linear loads, but also on the characteristics of the grid and the voltage distortion of the upstream grid.

Stolen Artwork: Deciding Ownership Is No Pretty Picture [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
This thesis analyzes the power losses in induction machines and how the losses depend on the harmonic content of the applied voltages. Two cases are compared, one case where a machine is fed with a sinusoidial voltage and one case with a modular ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
