Modeling of the Earth's gravity field using the New Global Earth Model (NEWGEM) [PDF]
Traditionally, the global gravity field was described by representations based on the spherical harmonics (SH) expansion of the geopotential. The SH expansion coefficients were determined by fitting the Earth's gravity data as measured by many different ...

Subspace Acceleration for Efficient Nonlinear Water Wave Simulation
We introduce an exponentially weighted subspace acceleration technique to reduce GMRES iterations for solving the Poisson equation with time‐dependent coefficients in nonlinear, dispersive free‐surface flows governed by the incompressible Navier‐Stokes equations. The method significantly reduces memory requirements and computational complexity compared

Abstract This study demonstrates an explainable machine learning framework for explicitly selecting important environmental features that determine clusters of right‐moving tornadic supercells. Although previous studies have clustered and analyzed proximity sounding profiles associated with tornadic right‐moving supercells, few have identified key ...

On Compressible Fluid Flows of Forchheimer‐Type in Rotating Heterogeneous Porous Media
ABSTRACT We study the dynamics of compressible fluids in rotating heterogeneous porous media. The fluid flow is of Forchheimer‐type and is subject to a mixed mass and volumetric flux boundary condition. The governing equations are reduced to a nonlinear partial differential equation for the pseudo‐pressure.

Water electrolysis enhanced by super gravity field for hydrogen production
Water electrolysis was carried out galvanostatically under a super gravity field. The relationships of cell voltage, ohmic voltage drop reduction and overpotential reduction with gravity coefficient (G) and current densities were studied.

Surface and Interfacial Engineering toward Durable Mechanically Coupled Flexible Electronics
This Review highlights how surface and interfacial engineering governs the reliability, durability, and functional stability of mechanically coupled flexible electronics. By integrating fundamental interfacial theory, failure mechanisms, multiscale engineering strategies, and representative applications, it provides a design‐oriented framework for ...

Tropical cyclone‐induced estuarine destratification and protracted recovery
Abstract Estuarine stratification regulates nutrient cycling and ecosystem dynamics, yet its resilience to extreme meteorological events remains poorly understood. Here, we combine high‐resolution observations and numerical modeling to capture the full‐cycle physical response of an estuary to a summer typhoon.

ASEAN-New Zealand trade relations and trade potential [PDF]
This paper explores trade development by the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) with a particular reference to New Zealand and in the context of free trade agreements and partnerships. It describes the history of ASEAN, its trade composition,

Abstract Understanding the coastal zone of the Antarctic Ice Sheet (AIS), where it interacts with the Southern Ocean and warmer air masses, is crucial for predicting Antarctica's influence on the global climate and sea level. This region has multiple tipping mechanisms that could trigger large, rapid, and potentially irreversible changes in the AIS ...

Abstract The horizontal surface motions of the Earth's crust induced by glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA) are highly sensitive to lateral variations in Earth properties. We construct 3D GIA models by incorporating both varying elastic lithospheric thickness and lateral viscosity variations in the asthenosphere in a global, compressible, self ...
