Quantum tunneling from accelerating three-dimensional black hole

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2022
Hawking radiation as a quantum tunneling phenomena from accelerating BTZ black holes is presented in this work. We have calculated the Dirac particle's Hawking radiation from the horizon of the accelerating BTZ black hole. WKB approximation is applied to

Anomaly and Hawking radiation from regular black holes

open access: yes, 2008
We consider the Hawking radiation from two regular black holes, the minimal model and the noncommutative black hole. The flux of Hawking radiation is derived by applying the anomaly cancellation method proposed by Robinson and Wilczek.

Correlation, entropy, and information transfer in black hole radiation

open access: yes, 2014
Since the discovery of Hawking radiation, its consistency with quantum theory has been widely questioned. In the widely described picture, irrespective of what initial state a black hole starts with before collapsing, it eventually evolves into a thermal

On black hole singularities in quantum gravity

open access: yes, 1993
We show that absence of space-like boundaries in 1+1 dimensional dilaton gravity implies a catastrophic event at the end point of black hole evaporation.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A comparative study on the nutritional and microbial safety of fresh 'Wara' hawked in Ilorin and Ogbomoso towns [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences (Belgrade), 2018
Malnutrition resulting from low protein intake is one of the nutritional problems facing most developing countries including Nigeria. Most proteinaceous food sources are costly and in short supply. 'Wara' is a proteinaceous ready to eat food product made

The Hawking cascades of gravitons from higher-dimensional Schwarzschild black holes

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
It has recently been shown that the Hawking evaporation process of (3+1)-dimensional Schwarzschild black holes is characterized by the dimensionless ratio η≡τgap/τemission≫1, where τgap is the characteristic time gap between the emissions of successive ...

Does Hawking effect always degrade fidelity of quantum teleportation in Schwarzschild spacetime?

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Previous studies have shown that the Hawking effect always destroys quantum correlations and the fidelity of quantum teleportation in the Schwarzschild black hole.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.
