TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 16, Issue 4, Page 778-787, April 2026.
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Real‐Time and High‐Resolution NIR‐II‐L Imaging of Netrin‐1‐Mediated Neurovascular Coupling Driven by Dose‐Dependent Electroacupuncture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 19, 2 April 2026.
Disrupted neurovascular coupling contributes to ovarian dysfunction in polycystic ovary syndrome. Using near‑infrared II long‑wavelength imaging, this study visualizes how electroacupuncture dynamically regulates ovarian blood vessels in vivo. Immediate and cumulative stimulation elicit distinct vascular responses via a Netrin‐1 dependent mechanism ...

A Nine‐Year Diagnostic Odyssey of Refractory Psychiatric Symptoms Resolving After Resection of a CA19‐9‐Producing Ovarian Teratoma: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 4, April 2026.
A 15‐year‐old with 9 years of treatment‐resistant psychosis achieved rapid remission following resection of a CA19‐9‐producing ovarian teratoma containing neural tissue, highlighting the importance of considering isolated autoimmune psychosis even in seronegative cases and the potential utility of CA19‐9 as a screening biomarker.

One Case of Transvaginal and Transabdominal Oocyte Retrieval Guided by Ultrasound Probe: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Transvaginal ultrasound‐guided oocyte retrieval is routine for assisted reproduction, but unfit for some special patients. We report an elderly infertile patient with adenomyosis, whose transvaginal retrieval was high risk. Intraoperative conversion to transabdominal retrieval succeeded safely.
