Palmitoylation‐Mediated Ubiquitination of SRPK1 Regulates Ferroptosis in High‐Fat‐Induced Erectile Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Elevated exogenous palmitic acid promotes the S‐palmitoylation of SRPK1 in endothelial cells, a dynamic process governed by ZDHHC24 and APT1. This post‐translational modification strengthens the interaction between SRPK1 and the E3 ubiquitin ligase MIB1, thereby facilitating the proteasomal degradation of SRPK1.

Association of the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio and concentrations of plasma lipids with high-density lipoprotein subclass distribution in the Chinese population

open access: yesLipids in Health and Disease, 2010
Background To evaluate the relationship between the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C)/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) ratio and HDL subclass distribution and to further examine and discuss the potential impact of LDL-C and HDL-C ...

High fat diet modifies the association of lipoprotein lipase gene polymorphism with high density lipoprotein cholesterol in an Asian Indian population [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Background Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in lipoprotein lipase gene (LPL) have been shown to influence metabolism related to lipid phenotypes.

In Situ Lipoprotein‐seeking Dye for in Vivo Real‐Time Imaging of Lipid Dysregulation Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops lipoprotein‐seeking NIR‐II dyes that specifically bind circulating lipoproteins. These dyes form ultra‐stable complexes with endogenous lipoprotein, enabling real‐time, high‐contrast imaging of fatty liver and atherosclerotic plaques. Tunable binding kinetics allow customized imaging windows.

A Novel 10‐Protein Score for Liver Fat Content Predicts Cardiovascular‐Kidney‐Metabolic Disease Risk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel 10‐protein plasma score precisely quantifies liver fat, outperforming the fatty liver index. It robustly predicts the risk of numerous cardiovascular‐kidney‐metabolic diseases and integrates with genetic data for precision prevention, offering a practical alternative to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Abstract Liver fat content (LFC) is a key

Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol, Non–High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol, Triglycerides, and Apolipoprotein B and Cardiovascular Risk in Patients With Manifest Arterial Disease [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) only partly represents the atherogenic lipid burden, and a growing body of evidence suggests that non–high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C), triglycerides, and apolipoprotein B (apoB) are more ...

Triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) ratio and arterial stiffness in Japanese population: a secondary analysis based on a cross-sectional study

open access: yesLipids in Health and Disease, 2018
Previous studies have revealed that triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) ratio (henceforth TG/HDL-C) is one of major risk factors of cardiovascular diseases, insulin resistance and metabolism syndrome.

Magnetic Flux Guides by Material Extrusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetic flux guidance can increase inductive coupling and forces for magnetic sensors, actuators, and transducers. Here, a magnetic material extrusion method is used to fabricate flux concentration structures of arbitrary shapes with a magnetic permeability of 42. In line with simulation analysis, experimental results show that these materials provide
