Targeting Lactate and Lactylation in Cancer Metabolism and Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate, once deemed a metabolic waste, emerges as a central regulator of cancer progression. This review elucidates how lactate and its epigenetic derivative, protein lactylation, orchestrate tumor metabolism, immune suppression, and therapeutic resistance.

ASSESSMENT OF BLOOD SERUM PROTEOME IN PATIENTS WITH SQUAMOUS CELL HEAD AND NECK CARCINOMA

open access: yesСибирский онкологический журнал, 2016
We compared the serum proteome profiles of squamous cell head and neck carcinoma patients with metastases, without metastases and healthy volunteers using the combination of gradient gel-electrophoresis (1D-SDS PAGE) and mass-spectrometry.

Replication-Competent Herpes Simplex Virus Vector G207 and Cisplatin Combination Therapy for Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesNeoplasia: An International Journal for Oncology Research, 1999
Replication-competent virus vectors are attractive therapeutic agents for cancer. G207, a second-generation, multimutated herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), is one such vector that is safe in primates and efficacious against human tumors in athymic ...

OCIAD2 Stabilizes Integrin β1 Signaling Through SNX17‐Mediated Endosomal Recycling to Lipid Rafts and Modulates Cisplatin Response in HNSCC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies OCIAD2 as a critical regulator of cisplatin resistance in HNSCC. Mechanistically, OCIAD2 stabilizes integrin β1 through a direct physical interaction and facilitates its SNX17‐dependent endosomal recycling to lipid raft microdomains. Targeting OCIAD2 disrupts integrin β1 trafficking and significantly enhances cisplatin sensitivity,

Quantitative proteomics identifies biomarkers to distinguish pulmonary from head and neck squamous cell carcinomas by immunohistochemistry

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology: Clinical Research, 2022
The differentiation between a pulmonary metastasis and a newly developed squamous cell carcinoma of the lung in patients with prior head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is difficult due to a lack of biomarkers but is crucially important for the ...

Stimuli‐Responsive Supramolecular Biomaterials for Cancer Theranostics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ultimate goal of cancer theranostics is to get imaging agents and therapeutic cargo to tumor sites when and where they are required. “Smart” systems should be developed. This review discusses the characteristics of physiological stimuli, types and action modes of external stimuli, construction approaches and working principles, as well as ...
