Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.

Turning Unpredictable Biomolecule Adsorption to Controlled Corona Formation: Focus on Carbon Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the protein corona formation onto carbon nanomaterials (CNMs) enhances their functionalities as platforms for cancer theranostics. Here, we reviewed the effects of the intrinsic and acquired properties of CNMs on protein corona formation, the consequent biological and toxicological outcomes, and the strategies to reshape corona formation ...

AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

Minor Head Trauma Induced Sporadic Hemiplegic Migraine (SHM) Coma

open access: yes, 2006
Familial hemiplegic migraine is a severe, rare subtype of migraine. Gene mutations on chromosome 19 have been identified in the calcium channel, voltage-dependent, P/Q type, alpha-1A subunit gene (chromosome 19p13) for familial hemiplegic migraine ...

An Imaging‐Guided, Patient‐Specific Guiding Aid (RWNGuide) for Safe and Reproducible Inner Ear Drug Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A patient‐specific, imaging‐guided aid enables precise and reproducible drug delivery to the inner ear. By guiding therapeutic agents directly to the round window niche, this approach reduces variability in drug localization, improves delivery safety, and addresses a critical bottleneck in inner ear therapy, offering a scalable strategy for precision ...

Lower trapezius transfer to infraspinatus in cases of sequelae of obstetric brachial plexus injury

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders
Background Deficient shoulder function is a common and exhausting issue in children with obstetric brachial plexus injuries. Even with functioning elbow, wrist, and fingers, upper limb function is markedly disabled by limited shoulder abduction external ...

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Clinical Outcome of Mild Head Injury with Isolated Oculomotor Nerve Palsy

open access: yes, 2011
Isolated oculomotor nerve palsy after mild head injury is rare. Only a few case reports have described the clinical presentation of these patients, and clinical and functional outcome have not been discussed in depth. The outcome of 10 patients with mild
