Head Box Control

Trans. of the IVth Fund. Res. Symp. Oxford, 1969, 1969
Head box control requirements have been reviewed and the equipment required to achieve control has been discussed briefly . In addition, methods that have been used to model the head box successfully are described and discussed from both an analytic and practical point of view.

Head-motion controlled wheelchair

2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics, Information & Communication Technology (RTEICT), 2017
An electric wheelchair is propelled by means of an electric motor rather than manually. Persons with mobility impairments often traditionally use these. Quadriplegics are one of the many physically disabled people that require such electric wheelchairs.

Head movement control during head-free gaze shifts

2008
Humans mostly use combined eye-head movements to shift gaze to a new target. Here, we discuss head motor control during human gaze shifts. We demonstrate that vestibular feedback monitors and guides the head movement on-line. Our results further suggest that cerebellar signals play a role in this on-line control, possibly by contributing to detect ...

A head controlled wheelchair

Proceedings of the IEEE 28th Annual Northeast Bioengineering Conference (IEEE Cat. No.02CH37342), 2003
The LED head directed motorized chair is designed to assist a client with cerebral palsy. The wheelchair uses an LED display panel in coordination with a head switch as a control apparatus to drive the wheelchair under the control of the client. This design uses a microcontroller to coordinate sensor information and to enable the motor driver circuits.

Active eye-head control

Proceedings of the 1994 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002
This paper deals with the problem of the vision-based feedback control of an eye-head system. Movements of the visual sensors are controlled in order to gather optimal measurements, in relation to the kinematic structure of the system and the task that is currently being executed.

Controlling Decisions by Head Electrical Signals

2022
This work considers the problem of using the electroencephalogram in a real context to control devices. The proposed work takes the data from the central and parietal brain areas to perform a steady state visually evoked potentials (SSVEP)-based Brain Computer Interface (BCI) model.

Head Motion Controls for 3D Head Mounted Display Games

2021
The established methods for 3D interaction with virtual environments in games are not ideally suited for use with consumer level head mounted displays. Research towards more suitable methods for 3D interaction often focuses on the use of highly specialized input devices that are not easily available to consumer audiences.
