Solutions to viscous Burgers equations with time dependent source term

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2021
We study the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions for a Cauchy problem of a viscous Burgers equation with a time dependent reaction term involving Dirac measure.

Lie symmetries of (1+2) nonautonomous evolution equations in Financial Mathematics

open access: yes, 2016
We analyse two classes of $(1+2)$ evolution equations which are of special interest in Financial Mathematics, namely the Two-dimensional Black-Scholes Equation and the equation for the Two-factor Commodities Problem.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

To solving the fractionally loaded heat equation

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2021
In this paper we consider a boundary value problem for a fractionally loaded heat equation in the class of continuous functions. Research methods are based on an approach to the study of boundary value problems, based on their reduction to integral ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Numerical Reconstruction of Time-Dependent Boundary Conditions to 2D Heat Equation on Disjoint Rectangles at Integral Observations

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, two-dimensional (2D) heat equations on disjoint rectangles are considered. The solutions are connected by interface Robin’s-type internal conditions.

Back to the Future: Revisiting the Application of an Enzyme Kinetic Equation to Maize Development Nearly Four Decades Later

open access: yesAgronomy, 2019
With the recent resurgence in interest in models describing maize (Zea mays L.) development rate responses to temperature, this study uses published data to refit the Poikilotherm equation and compare it to broken stick “heat stress” ...

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Entransy, Entransy Dissipation and Entransy Loss for Analyses of Heat Transfer and Heat-Work Conversion Processes

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Science and Technology, 2013
Entransy is a parameter proposed in recent years to describe the potential of heat in an object. Its balance equation was established based on the energy equation of heat transfer, which contains entransy, entransy flow, entransy dissipation and entransy
