MODELING OF HEAT EXCHANGE IN A CONDENSATION HEAT EXCHANGER

open access: yesThermophysics and Thermal Power Engineering
The scientific approach in the study is based on computational modeling of heat transfer processes in conditions of two-phase interaction of heat carriers. The study involves the use of a combination of analytical and numerical methods: computational relations for the Nusselt, Prandtl, Reynolds criteria, as well as iterative procedures using the ...

Energy analysis of heat exchanger in a heat exchanger network

open access: yesThermal Science, 2018
For many years now, heat exchanger optimization has been a field of research for a lot of scientists. Aims of optimization are different, having in mind heat exchanger networks with different temperatures of certain streams. In this paper mathematical model in dimensionless form is developed, describing operation of one heat exchanger in a heat ...

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Innovative Processing of Compacted Waste Aluminum Alloy Powders via Controlled Remelting and Solidification

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...
