Earth's surface heat flux [PDF]
We present a revised estimate of Earth's surface heat flux that is based upon a heat flow data-set with 38 347 measurements, which is 55% more than used in previous estimates.

Local rectification of heat flux [PDF]
We present a chain-of-atoms model where heat is rectified, with different fluxes from the hot to the cold baths located at the chain boundaries when the temperature bias is reversed. The chain is homogeneous except for boundary effects and a local modification of the interactions at one site, the "impurity".

Impact of non-uniform heat flux conditions on convective heat transfer and energy efficiency in a corrugated tube [PDF]
Many contemporary studies often overlook the reality of non-uniform heat generation in various modern heating devices by presuming uniform heat distribution, emphasizing the need for advancements in heat transfer methods.

Response of ocean climate to different heat-flux perturbations over the North Atlantic in FAFMIP
The diversity of surface-flux perturbations, especially for heat-flux perturbations, notably leads to uncertainties surrounding the responses of ocean climate under global warming scenarios projected by climate/Earth system models. However, when imposing

Heat and water flux modeling in an earth dam
This study aims to identify the water flux in an earth dam using heat flux due to convection. Sixteen earth dam models were constructed in a hydraulic flume by varying geometrical and flow input parameters to identify heat and water flux.

Estimation of actual evapotranspiration and water requirement of rose (Rosa damascena Mill.) using SEBAL algorithm [PDF]
Introduction In determining the evapotranspiration (ET) of a crop species, factors such as type, crop density, growth stage, climate of the region, physicochemical characteristics and soil fertility, have a significant effect.

Heat flux in a granular gas [PDF]
A peculiarity of the hydrodynamic Navier-Stokes equations for a granular gas is the modification of the Fourier law, with the presence of an additional contribution to the heat flux that is proportional to the density gradient. Consequently, the constitutive relation involves, in the case of a one-component granular gas, two transport coefficients: the
