Dynamic sampling for SAXSTT: towards real‐time measurement adaptation

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, EarlyView.
A dynamic sampling strategy is presented to reduce the measurement time required for SAXS tensor tomography while maintaining reconstruction quality.Small‐angle X‐ray scattering tensor tomography (SAXSTT) is a powerful technique for non‐destructive 3D characterization of nanoscale structures by reconstructing q‐resolved reciprocal space maps.

Five Principles for a New Economic Consensus

open access: yesGlobal Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper puts forward five principles for a new economic consensus, which could serve as a modern alternative to the Washington Consensus of 35 years ago. They are built on new ideas that have gained currency in economics over the past three decades. We also provide examples of the policies that could follow from these principles.

Bridging the Late Antique Gap in Northwest Arabia: New Archaeological Evidence on the Occupation of Wādī al‐Qurā (al‐ʿUlā [AlUla], Saudi Arabia) Between the Third and Seventh Centuries CE

open access: yesArabian Archaeology and Epigraphy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In 2019, the Dadan Archaeological Project (CNRS/RCU/AFALULA) identified a Late Antique village 1 km south of ancient Dadan in the al‐ʿUlā valley (northwest Saudi Arabia). Three excavation seasons at this site (2021–2023) have uncovered a massive building constructed in the late third or early fourth cent.

Towards an ‘absolute’ timing of biostratigraphic and environmental phases from the Saalian late glacial to the Weichselian pleniglacial in central Europe—Insights from a lacustrine succession in Lichtenberg, northern Germany

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
Palynological records are central to the biostratigraphic subdivision of the Late Pleistocene in central Europe. Yet many interglacial and interstadial phases—such as the Eemian, Brörup and Odderade—remain only poorly constrained in time due to limited numerical dating.

Design of finger milling cutter for precision machining of involute internal herringbone gear with short relief groove

open access: yesJixie chuandong
ObjectiveConventional disc-shaped milling cutters create excessively large relief grooves when machining internal herringbone gears, limiting their applicability, while finger milling cutters based on a simplified normal plane of the tooth space suffer ...

Post‐curing effects on mechanical properties staining resistance of a 3D‐printed resin versus a direct composite for definitive restorations

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract This study evaluated the mechanical performance and staining resistance of a three‐dimensional (3D)‐printed resin (VarseoSmile Crown Plus) subjected to different post‐curing times (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 min), compared with a conventional nanofilled resin composite (Filtek Z350XT).

Demonstration of an instream flow model to accommodate a threatened tiger beetle in riverine dune habitat

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Burrows of the threatened Gibson's Big Sand Tiger Beetle in riverine dune habitats are susceptible to flooding through managed flows. HEC‐RAS modelling identified the flow thresholds above which flooding would occur for burrows and affect the beetle larvae. These findings provide instream flow guidelines for conserving this threatened species and guide

Dentine Regeneration With Calcium Strontium Silicate: In Vitro Odontogenic Differentiation, Antimicrobial Activity, Immunomodulation and In Vivo Pulpotomy in Rat Molars

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim This study examined the in vitro and in vivo performance of calcium strontium silicate (CSR) as a novel biomaterial for vital pulp therapy (VPT), assessing its odontogenic differentiation, antibacterial activity, immunomodulation, inflammatory response and dentine regeneration potential compared to calcium silicate (CS) and Mineral ...

The Emotional Valence Paradox in Social media: A Computational Linguistic Analysis of How Sentiment, Emotion, and Content Domain Predict Social Comparisons on Rednote

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This computational linguistic study analyzes 8743 Rednote posts to examine how sentiment, emotion, and content domain collectively shape social comparison dynamics on social media. We identify four key findings: (1) an emotional gradient, where upward comparison content exhibits the highest sentiment scores and downward comparison the lowest; (
