SINGLE AND DUAL ION IRRADIATION EFFECTS ON SWELLING BEHAVIOR OF EP-450 FERRITIC-MARTENSITIC STEEL
In spite of all effects of researchers, up to now there is no understanding of the main radiation phenomena advances, in particular, of the swelling at simultaneously effect of damage dose with generated helium and hydrogen. Imperceptions of this problem

Helium irradiation induced micro-swelling and phase separation in pyrochlore Lu2Ti2O7 [PDF]
Abstract Polycrystalline pyrochlore Lu2Ti2O7 was irradiated with 200 keV He+ ions at room temperature to fluences ranging from 2.0 × 1015 to 2.0 × 1017 He+/cm2. Irradiation-induced microstructural evolution was examined by grazing incidence X-ray diffraction and cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy.

Ammonium dinitramide (ADN) and 3,4‐Diaminofurazan (DAF) form a 1:1 energetic cocrystal. We report its crystal structure and spectroscopic signature and evaluate thermal stability, decomposition behavior, hygroscopicity, and combustion properties. Propellant performance calculations benchmark the material against guanylurea dinitramide (GuDN) and ...

Exploding Bridgewire (EBW) Detonators: An Example of Synergistic Multiphysics
ABSTRACT Exploding bridgewire (EBW) detonators are highly temporally reproducible explosive devices that require the rapid discharge of a high‐voltage capacitance to operate and so are immune to most of the accidental hazards associated with traditional electric detonators.

Defect landscape engineering suppresses helium damage in ceramics
Helium accumulation in structural ceramics used in nuclear, fusion, and aerospace systems causes swelling, cracking, and early failure, yet controlling this damage has remained elusive.

Chronic silencing of subsets of layer 5 projection neurons has distinct effects on the laminar distribution of PV interneurons and the perineuronal nets in the adult primary motor and somatosensory cortex. Abstract Neural networks are established throughout cortical development, which require the right ratios of glutamatergic and GABAergic neurons ...

3‐D Nanofabrication of Silicon and Nanostructure Fine‐Tuning via Helium Ion Implantation
Despite the continued scaling down of semiconductor manufacturing, traditional lithography‐based nanofabrication only produces thin film structures, not 3‐D shapes.

Abstract A substantial fraction of organic carbon in carbonaceous chondrites has long been described as “missing,” reflecting incomplete recovery and limited resolution of operationally defined organic components. Here, we present a quantitative reassessment of the carbon budget in the Murchison meteorite using an integrated extraction–recovery mass ...
