Association Between Motor Pathway Damage and Motor Deficit in Upper and Lower Limb in People With MS
ABSTRACT Objective Corticospinal tract damage is common in people with MS, but the degree of clinical symptoms varies. We hypothesize that corticospinal tract lesions are more extensive and severe in people with MS with motor impairments in both upper and lower limbs.

The Influence of Bit Edge Shape Parameters on Bone Drilling Force Based on Finite Element Analysis
Bone drilling is a common surgery procedure. The drill bit shape directly affects the drilling force. Excessive drilling force may cause bone damage. In this work, on the premise of analyzing and comparing several finite element method (FEM) simulation ...

T1 Over Squared Proton Density Ratio to Characterize Multiple Sclerosis Lesions
ABSTRACT Objective Differentiating remyelinated from demyelinated lesions in MS remains challenging without histological confirmation. This study introduces the T1‐to‐PD2 ratio (TPR) imaging approach and evaluates its ability to characterize MS lesions alongside other quantitative MRI (qMRI) metrics. Methods Thirty individuals with MS (mean age: 47.5 ±

Numerical study on screw machines with large helix angles [PDF]
Modelling and performance calculation of screw machines with large helix angles such as a single and multiphase screw pumps by use of Computational Fluid Dynamics is challenging. The numerical procedures explained in literature are based on the 3D numerical meshes generated by series of 2D transverse cross sections which allows mesh to either follow ...

Global Rather Than Vertical‐Selective Saccadic Abnormalities in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
ABSTRACT Objective To test whether vertical saccades are preferentially affected in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Methods PSP patients (n = 24) were compared to age‐matched controls (n = 94) and two degenerative groups (Alzheimer's disease, n = 20; Lewy body disease, n = 50).

Stage‐Dependent β‐Synuclein Links MRI and Cognitive Decline in Alzheimer's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Synaptic degeneration drives cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease (AD), but synaptic biomarkers are scarce. Brain‐enriched β‐synuclein emerged as a synaptic damage marker. We investigated its diagnostic, prognostic, and structural correlates across the AD continuum.
