The influenza c virus glycoprotein (HE) exhibits receptor-binding (hemagglutinin) and receptor-destroying (esterase) activities

Virology, 1987
A cDNA copy of RNA segment 4 of influenza C/Cal/78 virus was cloned into an SV40 vector and expressed in CV-1 cells. The gene product expressed from the SV40 recombinant virus was immunoprecipitated by monoclonal antibodies directed against the influenza C virus glycoprotein.

The Epitope Sequence of S16, a Monoclonal Antibody Against Influenza C Virus Hemagglutinin-Esterase Fusion Glycoprotein

Future Virology, 2017
Aim: S16, a monoclonal antibody against the hemagglutinin-esterase fusion (HEF) glycoprotein of influenza C virus, reacts with SV40 large T antigen (LT) and a host cellular component(s). The aim is to determine the location of S16 linear epitope on LT and the amino acid sequence of S16 epitope. Materials & methods: BHK-21 cells expressing wild-type and

A novel vaccine vector: herpes simplex virus type-2 deleted in glycoprotein D (HSV-2 ΔgD) and expressing modified influenza A (IAV) hemagglutinin (HA) antigens

The Journal of Immunology, 2017
Abstract Herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2 (HSV-1 and HSV-2) cause significant global morbidity and mortality. In collaboration, the Jacobs and Herold laboratories generated an attenuated herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) strain deleted in glycoprotein D (HSV-2 ΔgD) and demonstrated that it triggers an FcγRIV activating response that ...

[Characterization of murine leukemia virus recombinants that express H5N1 subtype avian influenza virus hemagglutinin glycoproteins].

Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2009
One highly pathogenic strain of avian influenza virus (AIV) was isolated from goose in China recently, designated as F-3. In order to study the viral entry mechanisms, the hemagglutinin (HA) gene of H5N1 subtype AIV isolate was amplified by RT-PCR, and then cloned into pGEM-T vector and sequenced.

[The structure of oligosaccharide fragments of glycoproteins from influenza virus A/Krasnodar/101/59/(H2N2)--heavy and light chains of hemagglutinin and neuraminidase].

Bioorganicheskaia khimiia, 1990
The structure and heterogeneity of carbohydrate chains of hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA), the surface glycoproteins of influenza virus A/Krasnodar/101/59 (H2N2), were investigated. Hemagglutinin was reduced with beta-mercaptoethanol and its heavy (HA1) and light (HA2) chains were separated by gel chromatography.
