Intraocular Hemangiopericytoma
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1983A 40-year-old woman had an intraocular lesion consistent with a choroidal hemangioma. Xenon arc photocoagulation was applied to reduce subretinal fluid, and the lesion remained stationary until the patient's death eight years later. The lesion was composed of spindle-shaped and ovoid cells with numerous inconspicuous capillaries.

Abstract Hemangiopericytoma of the kidney is extremely rare. A case of hemangiopericytoma of the right kidney with extensive vena caval tumor thrombus is reported. The typical hemangiopericytic pattern by light microscopy and the ultrastructural finding of pericyte-like cells were the basis for making this diagnosis.

Hemangiopericytoma primary in bone is a rare tumor. A review of 15 cases (five from the Mayo Clinic files and 10 from the consultation files) revealed that all tumors were unifocal and that the most common location was the pelvis (three lesions in the sacrum and two in the ischium).

Ophthalmology, 1991A 10-year-old black girl complaining of pain and decreased vision in the left eye was found to have a smoothly elevated ciliochoroidal mass involving the superonasal quadrant of the left eye. The mass appeared circumscribed and uniformly dense by computed tomography.

Hemangiopericytoma of the larynx
Auris Nasus Larynx, 2013Hemangiopericytomas are rare vascular neoplasms of the head and neck. Laryngeal involvement is even more rare, with only 9 previously reported cases in the literature. We present an unusual case of a 46 year old with a supraglottic hemangiopericytoma treated surgically.

If meningeal hemangiopericytoma could be diagnosed prior to operation, the neurosurgeon might be better prepared to deal with excessive bleeding during the operation. This type of tumor should be completely excised because of the high risk of recurrence and remote metastasis.

Hemangiopericytomas of the uterus
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1970Hemangiopericytomas are "cellular" tumors found in almost every site or organ in the body. Originally thought to be relatively benign, more recent data indicate that they have a fairly high degree of malignancy. Only a few have been recognized in the uterus. The present report includes 6 previously reported and 7 additional instances of this tumor.
