Immunomodulatory Biomaterials for Bone and Soft Tissue Chronic Inflammation Diseases

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
This review analyzes immunomodulatory biomaterial strategies for treating chronic inflammatory disorders in bone and soft tissues. It explores emerging mechanisms for resolving inflammation while promoting tissue regeneration, offering insights for developing targeted immunotherapeutic approaches that bridge material science with immunology for ...

Regulatory T Cells and Nanomaterials: Dual Perspectives in Therapeutics and Immunomodulation

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
Tregs control immune tolerance but can also enable tumor escape. Nanomaterials can now expand or stabilize Tregs to treat autoimmunity and support transplantation or conversely disrupt tumor Tregs to boost antitumor immunity. We also discuss unintended Treg modulation by nanoparticles, safety and manufacturing challenges, and future translational ...

Imaging of Abdominal Complications in Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) is the most common paediatric malignancy and remains one of the most common causes of cancer‐related death in children and adolescents. Five‐year overall survival rates now exceed 90% with current multidrug chemotherapeutic regimens. This improvement, coupled with the toxicity of chemotherapy, has led to the

Bone Loss and TLR4 Signals Contribute Independently to B Lineage Aging

open access: yesAging Cell, EarlyView.
The prevailing view is that the age‐related decline of B lymphopoiesis is due to increased inhibitory signals in the marrow environment. Our data show that the loss of salutary ones, such as those from bone, primarily drives the loss of B cell progenitors with age.

A critical review of management of allogeneic transplant‐eligible adults with Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukaemia

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Proposed management of newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome‐positive (Ph+) acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in transplant‐eligible patients. Suggested considerations when deciding the treatment pathway available to a newly diagnosed Ph+ ALL patient that would be deemed transplant eligible. Summary Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in 20%–30% of
