Helical Path Tortuosity Model for Sandstone Formations: A Unified Approach Across Permeability Ranges

open access: yesGeofluids, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This study develops a helical path tortuosity model with formation‐specific parameterization to address the critical limitation of existing tortuosity models that typically excel within narrow permeability ranges. The model decomposes total tortuosity into three physically meaningful components: geometric tortuosity arising from flow path winding ...

Thixotropic effect of some biochemical factors in ischaemic stroke

open access: yesJournal of Medical Science, 2018
Background. Yield shear stress (YSS) well characterizes the thixotropic status of blood, that exemplifies a reversible loss of blood fluidity due to a low shear rate. At the stable haematocrit ratio YSS depends mainly on the fibrinogen level. Aim.

The Features of Vessel Densities and Hemorheological Parameters in Patients With Central Retinal Vein Occlusion: A Prospective Randomized Case‐Control Study

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmology, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background: This study analyzed changes in the vessel densities (VDs) and hemorheological parameters of patients with central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Methods: A prospective randomized case‐control study was conducted, which included 80 CRVO patients (the study group) and 80 participants with normal fundus (the normal control group).

Restoration of blood rheological properties with the help of THz-band electromagnetic waves of nitrogen oxide molecular spectrum occurrence

open access: yesRussian Open Medical Journal, 2013
A continuing relevance of the study is in researching of new non-drug methods of stress traumas correction. Stress is the main reason of different diseases and, first of all, of a cardiovascular system failure.
