Comparison of Clinical Scores for Predicting Stroke‐Associated Pneumonia After Acute Ischemic Stroke
Our study compared the discrimination and calibration of the Kwon Pneumonia Score, A2DS2 score, PANTHERIS score, AIS‐APS score, ISAN score, and PASS score in SAP identification; of these, the AIS‐APS score showed the best performance. ABSTRACT Objectives To compare the discrimination and calibration of six risk scoring systems in the assessment of ...

The prevalence of neurologically asymptomatic CSVD is common in the nondiabetic population. Glycated hemoglobin A1c correlated with periventricular white matter hyperintensities. Fasting blood glucose was associated with deep cerebral microbleeds. Better control of blood glucose may have a beneficial effect on reducing the risk of CSVD.

Independent risk factors for ischemic complications in endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms were identified using machine learning methods, and the first prediction model for ischemic complications of all intracranial aneurysms was constructed. Moreover, the model showed a stable and excellent predictive efficacy.

Suprachoroidal hemorrhage (SCH) refers to the accumulation of blood in the suprachoroidal space, a relatively uncommon but significant complication that can occur spontaneously, during ophthalmic surgery, or as a consequence of ocular trauma. If left undiagnosed and untreated, SCH can lead to severe vision loss or even blindness.

Vitreous Hemorrhage after Intracranial Hemorrhage
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1975Eight patients, aged 2 months to 55 years, developed vitreous hemorrhages as a result of subarachnoid or subdural bleeding. Subhyaloid hemorrhages were associated with, or preceded, hemorrhage into the vitreous cavity in four cases. Most vitreous hemorrhages cleared spontaneously, several months later, without major visual sequelae.

Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia and Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage
Gastroenterology, 1963Summary In 1.59 patients with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, the chief manifestation of the disease was hemorrhage (89 per cent), with epistaxis being most common (81 per cent). The telangiectatic lesions were located primarily on the face, mucous membranes of the head, and hands.
