Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Cerebral hemorrhage in Fabry's disease [PDF]
Fabry's disease is an X-linked lysosomal storage disorder resulting from alpha-galactosidase A deficiency. Although ischemic stroke is recognized as an important manifestation of Fabry's disease, hemorrhagic stroke is considered to be rare. Here, we report our recent clinical experience with three hemizygous male patients with Fabry's disease who ...

Impact of Asymptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage on Outcome After Endovascular Stroke Treatment
ABSTRACT Background Endovascular treatment (EVT) achieves high rates of recanalization in acute large‐vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke, but functional recovery remains heterogeneous. While symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) has been well studied, the prognostic impact of asymptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (aICH) after EVT is less certain ...

Hemorrhagic Disease in Deer in Arizona [PDF]
Two mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) and one white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) in Arizona (USA) were submitted for necropsy. Gross and microscopic lesions compatible with hemorrhagic disease (HD) were observed in all three deer. Epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus type 2 (EHDV-2) was isolated from two of the deer.
