During October–December 2015, an epizootic hemorrhagic disease outbreak occurred in cattle in Japan. Forty-six animals displayed fever, anorexia, cessation of rumination, salivation, and dysphagia.

ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

Hemorrhagic Disease in Deer in Arizona [PDF]

Two mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) and one white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) in Arizona (USA) were submitted for necropsy. Gross and microscopic lesions compatible with hemorrhagic disease (HD) were observed in all three deer. Epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus type 2 (EHDV-2) was isolated from two of the deer.
