Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐Derived Apoptotic Micro‐Vesicles Repaired Sciatic Nerve Defect by Regulating Early Inflammatory Microenvironment and Promoting Angiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
HUCMSC‐Apo‐mvs enhance peripheral nerve repair by modulating the inflammatory microenvironment (IME), primarily through coordinated actions on three functional cells. They recruit macrophages and promote their polarization from pro‐inflammatory M1 to anti‐inflammatory M2 phenotypes, increasing secretion of IL‐10 and VEGF.

Mussel‐Inspired Molecular Strategies for Fabricating Functional Materials With Underwater Adhesion and Self‐Healing Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically examines the nanomechanical mechanisms of mussel‐inspired molecular interactions, primarily investigated by direct force measurement techniques such as surface forces apparatus and atomic force microscopy. The macroscopic adhesive and self‐healing performances of mussel‐inspired functional materials, including coacervates ...

Effect of Empagliflozin on the plasma lipidome in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: results from the EmDia clinical trial

open access: yesCardiovascular Diabetology
Background Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, such as Empagliflozin, are antidiabetic drugs that reduce glucose levels and have emerged as a promising therapy for patients with heart failure (HF), although the exact molecular mechanisms ...

Pre T-Cell Receptor Alpha (pTα) Expression Patterns and Functional Analysis in Human T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesCellular Oncology, 2010
Background: The pTα/preTCR regulates the β-selection, a crucial T-cell developmental checkpoint, providing a most potent survival advantage to thymocytes mediated by the src-kinase p56Lck.

CD40L Priming of Platelets via NF‐κB Activation is CD40‐ and TAK1‐Dependent

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2018
Background CD40 ligand (CD40L) is a thromboinflammatory molecule that predicts cardiovascular events. CD40L is a strong activator of nuclear factor kappa B (NF‐κB) in platelets that primes and enhances platelet activation in response to thrombotic ...
