Design of CTAB‐Coated NixFe3−xO4 Magnetic Nanoparticles as Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) Tracers

open access: yesParticle &Particle Systems Characterization, EarlyView.
The present work is conducted to study synthesized NixFe3−xO4 MNPs (with x = from 0 to 1.0) coated with CTAB with hydrothermal and coprecipitation methods for the medical imaging systems as a tracer agent. In vitro, the biocompatibility of samples has been approved using an MTT assay.

Aminoisothiazolamides, a new class of potent inhibitors of lysyl‐tRNA synthetase

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
The present work covers a series of novel herbicidal lead structures that possess an aminoisothiazolamide scaffold as a structural key feature. Lysyl‐tRNA synthetase 1 (KRS1) was identified as the biochemical mode‐of‐action. Based on optimized and tailored synthetic approaches, a broader SAR study was carried out delivering some lead structures that ...

Self‐Assembled Silicon@Silica Metasurfaces with High‐Quality Resonances in the Infrared

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
An artificial magnetic resonance is created via the fabrication of a 2D silicon particle assembly. This particle to metasurface bottom‐up synthetic strategy presents many structural defaults and deviates largely from the ideal metasurfaces produced through top‐down techniques. Even so, the effective medium of this material appears to display a magnetic

Native Taylor/Non‐Taylor Dispersion–Mass Spectrometry (TNT‐MS) Allows Rapid Protein Desalting and Multiplexed, Label‐Free Ligand Screening

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Native mass spectrometry enables the label‐free study of noncovalent protein‐ligand complexes; however, it is incompatible with conventional molecular biology buffers. By exploiting the dependence of flow dynamics on the hydrodynamic radius, proteins are seperated, including protein‐ligand complexes, from non‐volatile salts and unbound small molecules ...

Corrosion Behavior of Additively Manufactured Steels: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
This review explores the corrosion behavior of various steel types, including austenitic, martensitic, duplex, low‐alloy, and maraging steels, produced via additive manufacturing (AM). It discusses how AM impacts material properties, such as grain structure and the formation of defects like porosity, and highlights the importance of optimizing process ...

Smart Temperature‐Sensitive Injectable Methylcellulose‐Based Hydrogels: Design and Optimization for Sustained Drug Release

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
MC‐based thermoreversible hydrogels were prepared and characterized. The MC/PEG hydrogel demonstrated sustained release of Dox, with rapid gelation time and the feasibility of controlling the drug release rate with temperature changes. Wide‐spectrum biocompatibility of the MC/PEG hydrogel was demonstrated, along with its ability to significantly reduce

Magnetic resonance imaging‐guided transurethral ultrasound ablation for benign prostatic obstruction: 1‐year clinical outcomes of a phase II study

open access: yesBJU International, EarlyView.
Objectives To evaluate the safety and efficacy of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)‐guided transurethral ultrasound ablation (TULSA) as a minimally invasive alternative for benign prostatic obstruction (BPO). Patients and Methods This prospective, single‐centre, early phase II study (NCT03350529) included 30 men with BPO scheduled for primary ...
