IgG1 and IgG4 antibodies against Core and NS3 antigens of hepatitis C virus
INTRODUCTION: IgG subclasses involved in the immune response to hepatitis C virus (HCV) antigens have been rarely studied. We investigated the immune response mediated by IgG1 and IgG4 antibodies against the recombinant core and NS3 antigens in patients

Hepatitis delta virus (HDV) encodes two isoforms of delta antigens (HDAgs). The small form of HDAg is required for HDV RNA replication, while the large form of HDAg inhibits the viral replication and is required for virion assembly.

Hepatitis B antigen in prostitutes. [PDF]
The hepatitis B antigen (HB Ag) carrier rate was studied in a sample of 293 prostitutes in Athens, and 379 women of similar age and relatively low socioeconomic level served as controls. HB Ag was detected in thirteen (4.4%) of the prostitutes and thirteen (3.4%) of the controls, a difference which was not statistically significant.

Gut microbiota–derived short‐chain fatty acids regulate group 3 innate lymphoid cells in HCC
Abstract Background and Aims Type 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3s) are essential for host defense against infection and tissue homeostasis. However, their role in the development of HCC has not been adequately confirmed. In this study, we investigated the immunomodulatory role of short‐chain fatty acids (SCFAs) derived from intestinal microbiota in ILC3

Detection of hepatitis A antigen by immunofluorescence [PDF]
Hepatitis A antigen (HA Ag) was demonstrated by immunofluorescence (IF) in liver biopsies from chimpanzees with experimental hepatitis A virus infection. Blocking experiments with paired sera from patients with hepatitis types A, B, or non-A, non-B, as well as with purified HA Ag, showed that the fluorescence was specific for HA Ag.
