HEPATITIS-B ANTIBODY IN POLYMYALGIA RHEUMATICA

The Lancet, 1975
Thirteen patients with polymyalgia rheumatica (P.M.R.) were examined for evidence of viral infection. Hepatitis-B surface antibody (HBsAb) was detected in nine out of twelve patients tested prior to therapy. The antibody persisted up to six months in four patients but reverted to negative in the other five.

Antibody to hepatitis B core antigen

The American Journal of the Medical Sciences, 1975
Two distinct antigen-antibody systems are associated with the hepatitis B virus (HBV): hepatitis B surface antigen (HBs Ag) and antibody (anti-HBs) and the more recently described hepatitis B core antigen (HBc Ag) and antibody (anti-HBc). Testing of serial serum samples from patients with type B hepatitis demonstrates the regular occurrence of anti-HBc

Antibodies to Hepatitis B Surface Antigen

Annals of Internal Medicine, 1985
Excerpt To the editor: The article by Kessler and colleagues (1) is of general interest because it shows, once again, that antibodies to hepatitis B surface antigen (anti-HBs), at least as they are...

Stress, Coping, and Hepatitis B Antibody Status

Psychosomatic Medicine, 2002
The present study investigated the association between exposure to stressful life events, coping style, and antibody status after hepatitis B vaccination. Two hundred sixty medical school undergraduates, who had received the three-dose hepatitis B vaccine before recruitment to this study, completed questionnaires measuring exposure to stressful life ...

Hepatitis B e antigen and antibody activity in hepatitis B virus infection

The Journal of Pediatrics, 1977
Groups of institutionalized subjects, volunteer blood donors with serologic evidence of asymptomatic hepatitis B virus infection, and patients with acute type B viral hepatitis were studied for the presence of hepatitis B e antigen and antibody in a sequential manner over a period of two to three years.

Hepatitis B Antibody Detection in Solid‐Phase Radioimmunoassay

Vox Sanguinis, 1976
Abstract. A simple radioimmunologic procedure for the detection of anti‐hepatitis B antibody using the 125I Ausria kit (Abbott) is described. The rapidity, sensitivity and high specificity of this method are underlined.
