Vitamin D as One of Predicators of the Stable Viral Response to Antiviral Therapy in Patients with Chronis Hepatitis С [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Chronic hepatitis C (CHC) it is not exceptionally medical problem but a significant social and economic threat, taking into account the unfavorable consequences of this disease: cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Inhibiting Liver‐Derived C3 Protein Rescues Anesthesia/Surgery‐Induced Cognitive Impairment, Synaptic Disorders, and Microglial Phagocytosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study provides evidence that anesthesia/surgery can induce the BBB breakdown and promote the release of hepatogenous C3 protein into the blood. This surgical dual factors ultimately drove C3 to cross the damaged BBB and selectively colocalize with C3aR in the hippocampus, which results in structural and functional injury of synapse, C3aR‐mediated ...

Differential Regulation of Lipoprotein and Hepatitis C Virus Secretion by Rab1b

open access: yesCell Reports, 2017
Summary: Secretory cells produce diverse cargoes, yet how they regulate concomitant secretory traffic remains insufficiently explored. Rab GTPases control intracellular vesicular transport.

Calhm6 Governs Macrophage Polarization Through Chp1‐Camk4‐Creb1 Axis and Ectosomal Delivery in Inflammatory Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Calhm6 drives M2 macrophage polarization via the Chp1‐Camk4‐Creb1 axis, suppressing inflammation through calcium‐dependent ectosomal delivery. Calhm6 deficiency enhances M1 responses, boosting bactericidal activity but exacerbating tissue damage. LPS/IFNγ upregulate Calhm6 via Irf1, while IL‐4/Stat6 inhibits it, balancing immune outcomes.

CircSMEK1 Suppresses HCC via the hnRNPK‐IGF2‐AKT Axis: A Diagnostic Biomarker and Therapeutic Target

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CircSMEK1 is downregulated in MASH/HCC and predicts poor prognosis. It suppresses tumor progression by promoting hnRNPK ubiquitination and inhibiting the IGF2/PI3K/AKT axis, while its loss activates immunosuppressive cancer‐associated fibroblasts. Serum circSMEK1 serves as a non‐invasive diagnostic biomarker, and its restoration potently inhibits HCC ...

Hepatocyte‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles Deliver miR‐328‐3p to Trigger PP2A‐B56δ–Mediated p‐NLRP3S295‐Dependent Metaflammation in Macrophages upon Microcystin‐LR Exposure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hepatocyte‐derived extracellular vesicles deliver miR‐328‐3p to trigger PP2A‐B56δ–mediated p‐NLRP3S295‐dependent metaflammation in macrophages upon microcystin‐LR exposure. 2‐DG, 2‐deoxy‐D‐glucose. B56δ, protein phosphatase 2A‐B56δ. ER, endoplasmic reticulum. iHD‐EV, inducible hepatocyte‐derived extracellular vesicles. IP3R, inositol 1,4,5‐triphosphate

HCV and HBV prevalence based on home blood self-sampling and screening history in the general population in 2016: contribution to the new French screening strategy

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases, 2019
Background The advent of effective direct-acting antivirals (DAAs), has prompted an assessment of the French Hepatitis C virus (HCV) screening strategy, which historically targeted high-risk groups. One of the options put forward is the implementation of

Lactylated SPTAN1 Accelerates Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression by Promoting NOTCH1/HES1 Activation and Immunosuppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies SPTAN1‐kla as a novel oncogenic driver in HBV‐driven HCC, linking metabolic, epigenetic, and immune mechanisms. SPTAN1‐kla promotes HCC progression via NOTCH1/HES1 activation and immunosuppression. Findings highlight that targeting SPTAN1‐kla provides a framework for HCC treatment to improve clinical outcomes in HBV infected ...
