DDX3 Regulates the Cap‐Independent Translation of the Japanese Encephalitis Virus via Its Interactions with PABP1 and the Untranslated Regions of the Viral Genome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) employs a cap‐independent (CI) translation strategy to evade host translational shutoff. During the shut‐off of host cellular canonical translation, DEAD‐box protein 3 (DDX3) bind to JEV UTRs to establish a closed‐loop architecture, and its interaction with poly(A)‐binding protein 1 (PABP1) to form DDX3/PABP1/eIF4G ...

Breaking the Silence Surrounding Hepatitis C by Promoting Self-Efficacy: A Study of Hepatitis C Public Service Announcements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Hepatitis C (HCV) is the most common chronic blood borne virus in the United States. Despite this fact, there is a startling lack of awareness about HCV among individuals who may have contracted the virus.

Generation of a High‐Precision Whole Liver Panorama and Cross‐Scale 3D Pathological Analysis for Hepatic Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using the MOSTtechnology and whole‐liver Nissl staining method, a multi‐structural 3D pathological panorama of liver fibrosis is obtained. The damaged sinusoids, steatotic hepatocytes, and collagen deposition are all concentrated in pericentral areas.

Magnetite Micro/Nanorobots for Efficient Targeted Alleviation of Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Improved reactive oxygen species scavenging capacities of functionalized micro/nanorobots (MNRs) are useful for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). MNRs can break the harmful bacteria in IBD, thereby eliminating inflammation and restoring the intestinal barrier function.

m6A‐Mediated TMCO3 Promotes Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression by Facilitating the Membrane Translocation and Activation of AKT

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TMCO3 as a downstream target of ALKBH5 is found, which regulates its expression in an m6A‐dependent manner, and then a new phosphorylation site on TMCO3 is identified and determines the specific mechanism of TMCO3 with AKT. Moreover, the combined treatment of targeting the TMCO3 and inhibition of AKT in mice models with HCC achieves great results ...

MicroRNA‐433‐3p enhances chemosensitivity of glioma to cisplatin by downregulating NR5A2

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 12, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
miR‐433‐3p mediated the ability of NR5A2 to regulate the malignant behavior of glioma cells Abstract Objective We attempted to investigate influence of microRNA‐433‐3p on malignant progression of glioma and identify its molecular mechanism, thus laying groundwork for glioma management.
