Hepatocyte growth factor in transgenic mice

open access: yesInternational Journal of Experimental Pathology, 1998
In order to clarify the function of hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) in vivo, we have developed transgenic mice expressing HGF in the liver. The bromodeoxyuridine labelling indices in livers from HGF transgenic mice were doubled, compared to those from wild type mice. Livers of HGF transgenic mice expressed high levels of c‐myc, which was the consequence

4‐Hydroxybenzyl Alcohol Mitigates Hyperlipidemia‐Associated Depression by Inhibiting Neuroinflammation via the NKIRAS2/NF‐κB Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
4‐HBA upregulates NKIRAS2 levels, inhibiting the activation of the NF‐κB pathway and subsequently reducing the levels of neuroinflammatory markers. This modulation helps restore normal mood and behavior in hyperlipidemic conditions, providing a potential therapeutic strategy for managing hyperlipidemia‐associated depression.

Decreased Serum Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) in Individuals with Depression Correlates with Severity of Disease

open access: yesBiomarker Insights, 2010
Aim: To assess serum Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) levels in individuals with depression and to test the hypothesis that there is a relationship between severity of depression and HGF concentration.

DADA Enhances CD8+ T Cell Stemness to Improve Anti‐Tumor Immunity and Immunotherapy Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Diisopropylamine dichloroacetate (DADA) enhances CD8+ T cell stemness by improving OXPHOS and mitochondrial fitness in a PDK1‐depenpendent manner. This metabolic shift strengthens CD8+ T cell anti‐tumor immunity, improves responses to PD‐1 blockade, and endows CAR‐T cells with prolonged persistence and resistance to terminal exhaustion, highlighting a ...

Correlation of Hepatocyte Growth Factor Levels with Myopia Degree and Axial Length in Outpatient Myopic Adolescents

open access: yesMajalah Kedokteran Bandung
Myopia is the most common ophthalmic condition worldwide, with an estimated 22.9% of the population or 1.406 billion people affected. Studies of candidate gene-associated refraction abnormalities have also identified several genes that cause ...

O‐GlcNAcylated TAP1 Impairs Antigen Presentation and Promotes Immune Evasion in Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article unveils a critical mechanism of immune evasion in bladder cancer, which the O‐GlcNAc modification of TAP1 disrupts antigen presentation. This modification triggers HLA‐A degradation, shielding tumor cells from CD8+ T cell attack. The findings highlight targeting this pathway as a promising therapeutic avenue to sensitize tumors to ...

Tumor‐Derived Alpha‐1 Antitrypsin Promotes Liver Metastasis of Colorectal Cancer Through the Neutrophil Extracellular Traps–CCDC25 Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Liver metastasis is a leading cause of mortality in colorectal cancer (CRC), where the inflammatory tumor microenvironment, specifically neutrophil infiltration, significantly promotes metastatic colonization. This study reveals a pro‐metastatic role for alpha‐1 antitrypsin (A1AT) in CRC liver metastasis via a dual mechanism involving ...

ROLE OF NEUREGULINS AND HEPATOCYTE GROWTH FACTOR IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CASTRATION-RESISTANT PROSTATE CANCER

open access: yesСибирский онкологический журнал, 2016
The development of castration-resistant prostate cancer is an important problem of modern oncology. The review is focused on the system of growth factors – neuregulins and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), direct pathligands of ErbB tyrosine protein ...

Identifying Cytokine Motif‐Containing, Immunomodulatory Bacterial Proteins in Human Gut Microbiome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By building and constructing HMM (Upper left, blue), the authors identify CMCPs in bacteria genomes and CRC related metagenomes and enriched CRC‐related CMCPs (Upper right, blue). They analyze sequence and structural similarity of hits (Lower left, green), test function with engineered EcN delivered to tumors in a mouse tumor model (Lower right, pink ...
