Salivary carcinosarcoma: insight into multistep pathogenesis indicates uniform origin as sarcomatoid variant of carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma with frequent heterologous elements

open access: yesHistopathology, Volume 82, Issue 4, Page 576-586, March 2023., 2023
The graphical abstract demonstrates a multistep carcinogenesis of CEPA, which generally develops in three steps. A fourth step of transformation into a sofar called “carcinosarcoma” represents, according to our findings, a rare, secondary sarcomatoid dedifferentiation with frequent heterologous differentiation of the carcinomatous component.

A Novel Human Ghrelin Variant (In1-Ghrelin) and Ghrelin-O-Acyltransferase Are Overexpressed in Breast Cancer: Potential Pathophysiological Relevance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The human ghrelin gene, which encodes the ghrelin and obestatin peptides, contains 5 exons (Ex), with Ex1-Ex4 encoding a 117 amino-acid (aa) preproprotein that is known to be processed to yield a 28-aa (ghrelin) and/or a 23-aa (obestatin) mature ...

Cytological grading of breast carcinomas correlating with ultrasonographic findings, histopathologic grade and Her2neu oncogene status in women of age group thirty to sixty five years

open access: yesNational Journal of Clinical Anatomy, 2013
Background: Breast cancer is a malignant disease with a heterogeneous prognosis. It is the most common cancer in the urban Indian population. Women over 30 years of age are especially prone to develop this type of cancer.

Study of prognostic indicators and Her2neu expression in gastric adenocarcinomas – A tertiary care centre study

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pathology and Oncology, 2021
Gastric carcinomas rank 5th among all the cancers in India. The incidence increases with age and peaks during 5th to 7th decades. The most common location is gastric antrum followed by the lesser curvature. Her2 neu expression is reported as a frequent molecular abnormality in gastric adenocarcinomas associated with poor prognosis.

Stromal Mast Cells in Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of Breast and its Relationship with Tumour Grade and Hormonal Receptor Status: A Cross-sectional Study [PDF]

open access: yesNational Journal of Laboratory Medicine, 2022
Introduction: Tumour prognosis depends upon both the tumour cells as well as the stromal cells of the tumour microenvironment. Mast cells are immune cells which are basically involved in allergic reactions.
