Phytotoxic Effects of Ethanolic Extracts of Magonia pubescens A.St.‐Hil. (Sapindaceae) on the Germination of Emilia sonchifolia (L.) DC. Seeds

Ethanolic extracts from Magonia pubescens exhibit concentration‐dependent allelopathic activity against Emilia sonchifolia. Leaf extracts strongly inhibit seed germination and seedling growth, surpassing glyphosate under the tested conditions, whereas intermediate concentrations stimulate germination, indicating hormesis.
