Chromatographic determination of herbicide residues in various matrices

Biomedical Chromatography, 2004
AbstractThe newest results in the use of various extraction techniques and chromatographic methods such as gas–liquid and high‐performance liquid chromatography used for the assessment of herbicide residues in various matrices have been compiled and critically evaluated.

Analysis of herbicide residues in cereals, fruits and vegetables

Journal of Chromatography A, 2000
The determination of herbicide residues in cereals, fruits and vegetables by chromatographic methods is reviewed. The principal chemical groups of herbicides, like phenoxyacids, benzonitriles, ureas, triazines, dinitroanilines, chloroacetamides, carbamates, uracils, glyphosate and bipyridylium compounds, are considered.

Residues of dacthal herbicide in carrots

Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 1978
Residues of Dacthal and its monoacid and diacid hydrolytic ester cleavage metabolites were determined in carrots to which the herbicide was applied on seven plot locations throughout the United States. Residue levels of Dacthal appeared more closely related to the rate of application than to other field parameters.

Fungicide and Herbicide Residues in Water

2007
Handbook of Water Analysis, Second Edition provides current analytical techniques for detecting compounds in water samples. Maintaining the detailed and accessible style of the original, this edition demonstrates water sampling and preservation methods by enumerating different ways to measure chemical and radiological characteristics and giving step-by-

Herbicidal Residues on Crested Wheatgrass

Weed Science, 1968
The effects of residues of 16 herbicides used to control downy brome (Bromus tectorum L.) were studied in the greenhouse. Crested wheatgrass (Agropyron desertorum (Fisch. ex Link) Schult.) was planted in soils collected from field plots sprayed 1 to 4 years previously.

A novel detection scheme for herbicidal residues

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 1995
Abstract It is relatively simple to determine the growth rate of a microorganism culture, minute-by-minute, by monitoring the CO2 content of an air stream that has passed through the culture at a constant rate. Any change in the growth rate caused by the addition of a toxicant is readily detectable.

Influence of ageing of residues on the availability of herbicides for leaching

Environmental Pollution, 2005
Losses by leaching of chlorotoluron, isoproturon and triasulfuron from small intact columns of a structured clay loam and an unstructured sandy loam soil were measured in five separate field experiments. In general, losses of all three herbicides were greater from the clay loam than from the sandy loam soil and the order between herbicides was always ...

Detoxification of Herbicide Residues in Soil

Weed Science, 1985
Much of the success of modern agriculture is due to pesticide technology. Because weeds pose the greatest threat to crop yields, the largest class of pesticides used today is herbicides. Herbicides include products whose active ingredients represent a wide range of chemical families; yet most constitute a minimal potential hazard to man and the ...
