Dynamics of colonial settlements of grey heron (Ardea cinerea L.) and great egret (Ardea alba L.) and stages of great egret expansion on the territory of Ryazan and Yaroslavl regions

open access: yesТрансформация экосистем, 2019
We present detailed data on three colonies of grey herons and great egrets in the Ryazan and Yaroslavl regions. All colonies are located on the banks of water bodies, differing in the amount of water immediately under the nests, the character of ...

Fats, Fire and Bronze Age Funerary Rites: Organic Residue Analysis of Wide Horizontal Rim Vessels From Burial Contexts in Northwest Portugal

open access: yesArchaeometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study presents the first GC‐MS–based analyses of wide horizontal rim vessels with well‐defined funerary contexts, from Middle Bronze Age Portugal (Quinta do Amorim 2 and Pego). Simultaneous detection of gradual and abrupt structural changes in Bayesian longitudinal modelling using entropy and model fit measures

open access: yesBritish Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, EarlyView.

Marine heatwaves modulate the genotypic and physiological responses of reef‐building corals to subsequent heat stress

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, 2023
Back‐to‐back marine heatwaves in 2016 and 2017 resulted in severe coral bleaching and mortality across the Great Barrier Reef (GBR). Encouragingly, some corals that survived these events exhibit increased bleaching resistance and may represent thermally ...

Middle to Late Pleistocene landscape evolution and glacial dynamics in the Eastern Alps: the Gröbminger Mitterberg record, Austria

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
Glacial erosion during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) has removed much evidence of earlier glaciations and interglacials in the European Alps. At Gröbminger Mitterberg (GM), beneath a blanket of LGM till, a distinctive sediment archive preserves deposits predating the LGM.
