Mapping the Design Space of Interactions in Human-AI Text Co-creation Tasks [PDF]
Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated impressive text generation capabilities, prompting us to reconsider the future of human-AI co-creation and how humans interact with LLMs. In this paper, we present a spectrum of content generation tasks and their corresponding human-AI interaction patterns.

Equine herpesvirus 1 bridles T lymphocytes to reach its target organs [PDF]
Equine herpesvirus 1 (EHV1) replicates in the respiratory epithelium and disseminates through the body via a cell-associated viremia in leukocytes, despite the presence of neutralizing antibodies. "Hijacked" leukocytes, previously identified as monocytic

In the present work we report the cloning of a full-length cDNA encoding the immediate-early (IE) 2 protein from human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) variant A (GS strain). The transcript is 4690 nucleotides long and composed of 5 exons. Translation initiation occurs within the third exon and proceeds to the end of U86.

Crystal Structure of the DNA-Binding Domain of Human Herpesvirus 6A Immediate Early Protein 2 [PDF]
ABSTRACT Immediate early proteins of human herpesvirus 6A (HHV-6A) are expressed at the outset of lytic infection and thereby regulate viral gene expression. Immediate early protein 2 (IE2) of HHV-6A is a transactivator that drives a variety of promoters.

Herpesvirus saimiri (saimiriine herpesvirus 2) is the classical prototype of the gamma(2)-herpesviruses or rhadinoviruses, which also contains a human member, the Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus. The T-lymphotropic Herpesvirus saimiri establishes

New research paradigms and agenda of human factors science in the intelligence era [PDF]
This paper proposes the innovative concept of "human factors science" to characterize engineering psychology, human factors engineering, human-computer interaction, and other similar fields. Although the perspectives in these fields differ, they share a common approach: "human-centered design." In the AI era, the human-machine relationship presents a ...

Statistical properties of thermodynamically predicted RNA secondary structures in viral genomes
By performing a comprehensive study on 1832 segments of 1212 complete genomes of viruses, we show that in viral genomes the hairpin structures of thermodynamically predicted RNA secondary structures are more abundant than expected under a simple random ...

An alphaherpesvirus exploits antimicrobial beta-defensins to initiate respiratory tract infection [PDF]
beta-Defensins protect the respiratory tract against the myriad of microbial pathogens entering the airways with each breath. However, this potentially hostile environment is known to serve as a portal of entry for herpesviruses.

Is AI the better programming partner? Human-Human Pair Programming vs. Human-AI pAIr Programming [PDF]
The emergence of large-language models (LLMs) that excel at code generation and commercial products such as GitHub's Copilot has sparked interest in human-AI pair programming (referred to as "pAIr programming") where an AI system collaborates with a human programmer.
