By exploiting the structural benefits of PHI, we synthesized CoPHI with atomically dispersed cobalt sites at high density. This architecture enables efficient nitrate ion adsorption, promotes water dissociation, and enhances *H generation on the catalyst surface, thereby significantly improving electrochemical nitrate reduction performance.

Electron Transfer-oxy Radical Mechanism for Anti-cancer Agents: 9-anilinoacridines [PDF]
A possible mode of action involving electron transfer is advanced for the 9- anilinoacridines. The mechanism entails formation of toxic oxy radicals which destroy the neoplasm.

We herein report the synthesis of a new heteroheptacene derivative with periodically incorporated six boron atoms. This compound exhibits dual fluorescence attributed to two interconvertible conformers that result from a delicate balance between the extended π‐system and the steric demand of bulky aryl groups attached to the boron centers.

Bis(silylene)‐Mediated N═N Bond Scission of Diazo Compounds
The carborane‐based bis(silylene) enables unprecedented N═N bond scission in diazodiarylmethanes. While xanthene‐ and aniline‐based scaffolds promote end‐on addition with partial N═N activation, the carborane‐based variant uniquely achieves complete N═N bond scission of Ar2C═N═N compounds, resulting in isolable disilicon nitride imino species.

Vinylogous aldol reaction of heterocyclic silyloxy dienes. Application in synthesis [PDF]
A versatile, readily accessible triad of 2-enoxy silane synthons derived from furan, pyrrole, and thiophene is presented. These heterocycles, in reacting with carbonyl and carbonyl- related acceptors, act as vinylogous nucleophile modules, giving rise ...

It may seem counterintuitive to first target a ruthenium alkylidyne when Grubbs‐type ruthenium carbene complexes are the actual goal. In the end, however, this tactic pays valuable dividends in terms of practicality, atom economy, flexibility as well as safety: the new route provides ready access to a large assortment of catalysts for alkene metathesis

Chiral Heptagon‐Embedded Double [6]Helicenes via Scholl Reaction
One bond makes the difference–two chiral and twisted polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) show different emission behavior. The more flexible one (top) shows a double emission with one having a large anti‐Stokes shift. The two peaks are assigned to different conformers of one and the same compound.

Photocatalytic cross‐coupling: A redox‐neutral photochemical method enables direct C(sp2)─C(sp2) bond formation between phenols and heteroaryl halides using an organic dye and base. Complementary radical generation allows efficient cross‐coupling in up to 91% yield. Mechanistic studies, DFT, HTE, and machine learning rationalize and predict reactivity,

One‐Pot Amidation/C─H Halogenation by an Efficient Electrochemical Cascade
A sustainable electrochemical cascade enables the one‐pot synthesis of regioselectively halogenated N‐aryl amides from readily available amines and acyl halides under mild conditions. The method merges amidation and C─H halogenation in a single operational step, delivering broad substrate scope, high selectivity, and scalability, and provides an ...
