Multifunctional Oxadiazole‐Based Polycatenars: A Pathway to Polar Columnar Phases

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Aromatic core fluorination directs oxadiazole‐based polycatenars into ferroelectric and antiferroelectric columnar phases with supergelation and photo‐responsiveness. ABSTRACT Polar columnar liquid crystals (LCs) offer a promising pathway to nanostructured architectures for next‐generation ferroelectric devices.

Similarity analysis, synthesis, and bioassay of antibacterial cyclic peptidomimetics

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2012
The chemical similarity of antibacterial cyclic peptides and peptidomimetics was studied in order to identify new promising cyclic scaffolds. A large descriptor space coupled with cluster analysis was employed to digitize known antibacterial structures ...

Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.

Magnetic decorated 5-sulfosalicylic acid grafted to chitosan: A solid acid organocatalyst for green synthesis of quinazoline derivatives

open access: yesCarbohydrate Polymer Technologies and Applications
In this research, a new magnetically decorated multifunctional solid acid was designed and prepared conveniently by grafting of 5-sulfosalicylic acid (SSA) onto the chitosan (CS) backbone using toluene-2,4-diisocyanate (TDI) linker for the first time ...

Crystal structures of ethyl {2-[4-(4-isopropylphenyl)thiazol-2-yl]phenyl}carbamate and ethyl {2-[4-(3-nitrophenyl)thiazol-2-yl]phenyl}carbamate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2016
The title compounds, C21H22N2O2S (I) and C18H15N3O4S (II), are structural analogs of the alkaloid Thiosporine B. Both molecules adopt a near-planar V-shaped conformation, which is consolidated by intramolecular N—H...N and C—H...O hydrogen bonds.

Effect of the isotiazole adjuvants in combination with cisplatin in chemotherapy of neuroepithelial tumors: experimental results and modeling

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Chemotherapy is one of the main treatment options for cancer, but it is usually accompanied with negative side effects. The classical drugs combination with synergistic adjuvants can be the solution to this problem, allowing reducing therapeutic dose ...

Do's and Don'ts When Visiting Circularly Polarized Luminescence

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective presents our insights into the principles, challenges, and opportunities of circularly polarized luminescence (CPL). Highlighting key concepts such as the dissymmetry factor (glum) and molecular design strategies, we discuss advances in CPL efficiency, emerging NIR emitters, solid‐state applications, and the growing role of theory and ...

Learned Conformational Space and Pharmacophore Into Molecular Foundational Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Ouroboros model introduces two orthogonal modules within a unified framework that independently learn molecular representations and generate chemical structures. This design enables flexible optimization strategies for each module and faithful structure reconstruction without prompts or noise.
