Ovarian Sex Cord Stromal Tumors in Children and Adolescents—The European Standard Clinical Practice Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As part of the European Cooperative Study Group for Paediatric Rare Tumours initiative, we developed standard clinical practice guidelines for ovarian sex cord stromal tumors, based on comprehensive national and international cohort analyses, literature review, and a final expert consensus conference.

On Hierarchical Composite Endpoints in Pediatric Cancer Supportive Care: Illustrative Examples From Two Multi‐Center Phase‐III Randomized Clinical Trials

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric supportive care clinical trials often involve multiple clinically important outcomes, complicating trial interpretation. Hierarchical composite endpoints (HCEs) provide a framework to integrate key outcomes according to clinical importance.

High Availability Optimization in Heterogeneous Cellular Networks [PDF]

open access: yes2016 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), 2016
The exponential growth in data traffic and dramatic capacity demand in fifth generation (5G) has inspired the move from traditional single-tier cellular networks towards heterogeneous cellular networks (HetNets). To face the coming trend in 5G, the high availability requirement in new applications, needs to be satisfied to achieve low latency service ...

The Role of Chemotherapy in Pediatric Myoepithelial Carcinoma: A Systematic Review of the Literature

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Myoepithelial carcinoma (MEC) in pediatric patients is a rare and aggressive malignancy characterized by heterogeneous morphology and variable molecular features. The optimal role of chemotherapy remains unclear. We conducted a systematic review according to PRISMA 2020 guidelines to evaluate chemotherapy in pediatric and young‐adult patients ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Network-Coded Multigeneration Protocols in Heterogeneous Cellular Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In the upcoming era of 5G, the number of devices will increase massively, defining a heterogeneous wireless network. Nodes will be gathered in Mobile Clouds, and communicate between peers to achieve a general benefit. To provide packet resilience, error correction codes will be used. In particular, Random Linear Network Coding is standing out as one of
