Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Analysis of Two-Worm Interaction Model in Heterogeneous M2M Network
With the rapid development of M2M (Machine-to-Machine) networks, the damages caused by malicious worms are getting more and more serious. By considering the influences of the network heterogeneity on worm spreading, we are the first to study the complex ...

Heterogeneous pair approximation for voter models on networks [PDF]
For models whose evolution takes place on a network it is often necessary to augment the mean-field approach by considering explicitly the degree dependence of average quantities (heterogeneous mean-field).

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Component Carrier Selection and Beamforming Jointly in LTE-Advanced Heterogeneous Network
To deal with the interference between macro cell and pico cell, or between pico cell themselves in LTE-Advanced heterogeneous network, joint algorithm of component carrier selection and beamforming was proposed. By shutting down a subset of the component

A Distributed Interference Alignment Approach Based on Grouping in Heterogeneous Network
To effectively mitigate interference and improve the performance, we propose a grouping-based two-stage distributed interference alignment (GTDIA) scheme for a two-layered heterogeneous network (HetNet) in multi-user multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO)

Device-to-device communications in LTE-unlicensed heterogeneous Network [PDF]
In this article, we look into how the LTE network can efficiently evolve to cater for new data services by utilizing direct communications between mobile devices and extending the direct transmissions to the unlicensed bands, that is, D2D communications ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
