Colour of Heterorhabditis zealandica-infected-Galleria mellonella dependent on the Photorhabdus symbiont, with two new nematode-symbiotic associations reported.

Journal of Invertebrate Pathology, 2022
Bacterial symbionts associated with entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs) play an important role in terms of the insecticidal properties of nematodes in pest control.

Combination effects of entomopathogenic nematodes, Heterorhabditis bacteriophora and Steinernema feltiae, with Abamectin on developmental stages of Phthorimaea operculella (Lepidoptera, Gelechiidae)

, 2021
The potato tuber moth (PTM) Phthorimaea operculella ( Zeller, 1873 ) is a major pest of Solanaceae crops globally. PTM is mainly controlled using chemical pesticides.

Molecular identification, phylogeny and phylogeography of the entomopathogenic nematodes of the genus Heterorhabditis Poinar, 1976: a multigene approach

, 2020
Presently, the genus Heterorhabditis contains 16 valid entomopathogenic nematode species. In this study we used samples from 11 species: H. amazonensis, H. bacteriophora, H. baujardi, H. beicherriana, H. downesi, H. floridensis, H. georgiana, H. indica,

Heterorhabditis Poinar 1976

2023
Heterorhabditis Poinar, 1976 Type species: H. bacteriophora Poinar, 1976 21 valid species were listed in catalogue 2011. Here, four new species are added and three species names mentioned in catalogue 2011 are shown to be new synonyms, resulting in 22 species in this genus taxon now. • H. beicherriana Li, Liu, Nermuť, Půža &Mráček, 2012 – Beijing area,

Morphological and molecular characterization of Heterorhabditis bacteriophora isolated from Indian soils and their biocontrol potential.

Zootaxa, 2020
Agricultural soils and open fields from Western Uttar Pradesh (India) were surveyed to determine the presence of entomopathogenic nematodes. From the entomopathogenic nematodes isolated, Heterorhabditis isolates were selected and further characterized ...

Heterorhabditis floridensis n. sp. (Rhabditida: Heterorhabditidae) from Florida

Zootaxa, 2006
In a survey of entomopathogenic nematodes associated with plants and trees in areas adjacent to production citrus groves in Florida, a new species of nematode in the genus Heterorhabditis was found based of morphological and molecular studies. The new nematode is described as Heterorhabditis floridensis n. sp. H. floridensis n. sp.
