Unselective regrowth of 1.5-μm InGaAsP multiple-quantum-well distributed-feedback buried heterostructure lasers [PDF]
Unselective regrowth for fabricating 1.5-μm InGaAsP multiple-quantum well (MQW) distributed-feedback (DFB) buried heterostructure (BH) lasers is developed.

We investigate the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of LaMnO _3 /BaTiO _3 heterostructure by means of ab initio calculations within the GGA+ U approach. We consider the heterostructure when ferroelectric polarization in the BaTiO _3 film is

Enhanced Optical Response of SnS/SnS2 Layered Heterostructure
The SnS/SnS2 heterostructure was fabricated by the chemical vapor deposition method. The crystal structure properties of SnS2 and SnS were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern, Raman spectroscopy, and field emission scanning electron ...

Heterostructure terahertz devices [PDF]
The terahertz (THz) range of frequencies is borderline between microwave electronics and photonics. It corresponds to the frequency bands of molecular and lattice vibrations in gases, fluids, and solids. The importance of the THz range is in part due to numerous potential and emerging applications which include imaging and characterization, detection ...

Preparation and Research of Monolayer WS2 FETs Encapsulated by h-BN Material
Functional devices that use vertical van der Waals (vdWs) heterostructure material can effectively combine the properties of single component materials, and the strong interlayer coupling effect can change their electronic and optical properties ...

Heterostructure Induced Dispersive Shear Bands in Heterostructured Cu
Abstract Here we report the formation of dispersive shear bands in a heterostructured Cu composed of coarse-grained (CG) and ultrafine-grained (UFG) domains. Microscale digital image correlation revealed that dense shear bands evolved in a stable manner over the whole gauge section.
