Spectroscopic properties of Vitamin C: A theoretical work

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2020
Vitamin C is an important human micronutrient. It has many vital biological functions in human health. In this research paper, the molecule of vitamin C was optimized and energy band gaps were determined using DFT and HF methods. In computational quantum

The Computational Investigation of IR and UV-Vis Spectra of 2-isopropyl-5-methyl-1,4-benzoquinone Using DFT and HF Methods

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2023
A theoretical study on the thymoquinone compound has been performed through two theoretical methods, DFT/B3LYP and HF with 6-31G, 6-31G(d, p) and 6-31++G(d, p) basis sets using Gaussian 09 program.

HF pump-induced electron heating and artificial airglow at high latitudes: Aspect angle dependence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Large electron temperature increases (~3000 K) in the ionospheric F-region, produced by powerful HF wave injection, were measured using the EISCAT incoherent scatter radar near Tromsø, Norway, on 7 October 1999.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Digital radio and its application in the HF (2-30 MHz) band [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The propagation environment at high frequencies (HF, 2-30 MHz) has a significant impact on the performance of radio systems (especially data communications).

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Studies of dispersion energy in hydrogen-bonded systems. H2O–HOH, H2O–HF, H3N–HF, HF–HF

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 1984
Dispersion energy is calculated in the systems H2O–HOH, H2O–HF, H3N–HF, and HF–HF as a function of the intermolecular separation using a variety of methods. M≂ller–Plesset perturbation theory to second and third orders is applied in conjunction with polarized basis sets of 6-311G** type and with an extended basis set including a second set of ...

An interhemispheric, statistical study of nightside spectral width distributions from coherent HF scatter radars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
International audienceA statistical investigation of the Doppler spectral width parameter routinely observed by HF coherent radars has been conducted between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres for the nightside ionosphere.
