Destructive breakdown studies of irradiated LGADs at beam tests for the ATLAS HGTD [PDF]
Abstract In the past years, it has been observed at several beam test campaigns that irradiated LGAD sensors break with a typical star shaped burn mark when operated at voltages much lower than those at which they were safely operated during laboratory tests.

Radiation campaign of HPK prototype LGAD sensors for the High-Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD)
We report on the results of a radiation campaign with neutrons and protons of Low Gain Avalanche Detectors (LGAD) produced by Hamamatsu (HPK) as prototypes for the High-Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD) in ATLAS. Sensors with an active thickness of 50~$ $m were irradiated in steps of roughly 2$\times$ up to a fluence of $3\times10^{15}~\mathrm{n_{eq ...

Abstract The relationship between cloud phase, ice‐nucleating particles (INPs), and ocean state is vital in climate system modeling. High wave conditions induced by the Arctic sea‐ice decline and intensified atmospheric forcing over the ice‐free ocean increase dynamical geochemical oceanic mixing and sea spray supply containing organic substances ...

ALTIROC1, a 25 pico-second time resolution ASIC for the ATLAS High Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD) [PDF]
ALTIROC1 is a 25-channel ASIC designed to read out the 5 x 5 matrix of 1.3 mm x 1.3 mm x 50 μm low Gain Avalanche Diodes (LGAD) of the ATLAS HGTD detector foreseen for the HL-LHC upgrade. The targeted combined time resolution of the sensor and the readout electronics is from 40 ps/hit (initial) to about 80 ps/hit (end of operational lifetime).

The critical role of ERK in death resistance and invasiveness of hypoxia-selected glioblastoma cells. [PDF]
Background The rapid growth of tumor parenchyma leads to chronic hypoxia that can result in the selection of cancer cells with a more aggressive behavior and death-resistant potential to survive and proliferate.

“ALTIROC0, a 20 pico-second time resolution ASIC for the ATLAS High Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD)” [PDF]
ALTIROC0 is an 8-channel ASIC prototype designed to readout 1x1 or 2x2 mm2 50 µm thick Low Gain Avalanche Diodes (LGAD) of the ATLAS High Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD). The targeted combined time resolution of the sensor and the readout electronics is 30 ps for one MIP. Each analog channel of the ASIC must exhibit an extremely low jitter to ensure
