2007
Human herpesvirus 6A and 6B (HHV-6A and 6B) are considered to be T-lymphotropic viruses. The overall nucleotide sequence identity between the two variants is 90% and each differs by only nine variant-specific open reading frames. HHV-6A and 6B have often been recognized as one virus and simply termed HHV-6.

Role of P2X7 polymorphisms in idiopathic infertility and HHV-6A infection
2017P2X7 receptor is an ATP gated ion channel well known for its pro-inflammatory, anti-infectious activity. The human gene for P2X7 receptor is highly polymorphic accounting for more than 1500 SNPs, among which ten loss and three gain of function variants.
