Effect of titanium on the as-cast microstructure of hypereutectic high chromium cast iron

Materials Characterization, 2008
Abstract The effect of titanium on the as-cast microstructure of a hypereutectic high-Cr cast iron containing 4.0 wt.% carbon and 20.0 wt.% chromium was investigated. With the increase of titanium concentration, the primary M7C3 carbides were refined and the volume fraction of all carbides (primary and eutectic carbide) was decreased gradually.

Effect of cerium on the as-cast microstructure of a hypereutectic high chromium cast iron

Materials Letters, 2008
Abstract The effect of cerium element on the as-cast microstructure of a hypereutectic high chromium cast iron (HCCI) containing 4.0 wt.% C and 20.0 wt.% Cr was studied by means of optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDS).

Microstructure and properties of modified as‐cast hypereutectic high chromium cast iron

Materialwissenschaft und Werkstofftechnik, 2022
AbstractThe present work studied the effects of different modification treatments on the microstructure and mechanical properties of hypereutectic high chromium cast iron containing about 35 wt% chromium and 4.0 wt% carbon. It was found that the primary carbides in the hypereutectic high chromium cast iron were all refined to different levels after ...
