Synthesis of SnSb2Te4 Microplatelets by High-energy Ball Milling [PDF]
In this work we demonstrate that high-energy ball milling process can be used to synthesize SnSb2Te4 without surfactant and further annealing. Milling parameters such as ball to raw material ratio (5:1) and milling time (2h) were determined to be ...

In-situ synthesis of a ZrB2–based composite powder using a mechanochemical reaction for the zircon/magnesium/boron oxide/graphite system [PDF]
A ZrSiO4/B2O3/Mg/C system was used to synthesize a ZrB2-based composite through a high-energy ball milling process. As a result of the milling process, a mechanically induced self-sustaining reaction (MSR) was achieved in this system.

Dehydroxylation of high-energy ball-milled diasporic bauxite
In this study, diasporic bauxite was mechanically activated for different durations (15, 30, 60, 90 and 120 min) by the planetary mono mill. The speed of the main disk and ball-to-mass ratio were kept constant at 600 rev min−1 and 25, respectively. The chemical composition of the ore was determined via X-ray fluorescence. Structural changes and thermal

Structure and ion dynamics of mechanosynthesized oxides and fluorides [PDF]
In many cases, limitations in conventional synthesis routes hamper the accessibility to materials with properties that have been predicted by theory. For instance, metastable compounds with local non-equilibrium structures can hardly be accessed by solid-
