Three-dimensional modeling of radiative disks in binaries [PDF]
Circumstellar disks in binaries are perturbed by the companion gravity causing significant alterations of the disk morphology. Spiral waves due to the companion tidal force also develop in the vertical direction and affect the disk temperature profile ...

This review systematically summarizes recent advances in porosity engineering of MXenes, with a focused discussion on their structure‐governed energy storage properties. A critical analysis of structure–property relationships is presented across alkali‐ion batteries, multivalent‐ion batteries, and supercapacitors.

Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Hidden source of high-energy neutrinos in collapsing galactic nucleus [PDF]
We propose the model of a short-lived very powerful source of high energy neutrinos. It is formed as a result of the dynamical evolution of a galactic nucleus prior to its collapse into a massive black hole and formation of high-luminosity AGN.

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Dynamic Characteristics of Near-wall Single Bubble Collapse-induced Shock Waves [PDF]
Understanding the kinetic behavior at the scale of a single bubble is crucial for understanding cavitation flow properties. In this study, experiments and numerical analysis of shock waves resulting from the crumpling of a solitary adjacent wall vacuole ...

On The Origin of Very High Energy Cosmic Rays
We discuss the most recent developments in our understanding of the acceleration and propagation of cosmic rays up to the highest energies. In particular we specialize our discussion to three issues: 1) developments in the theory of particle acceleration
