Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 18, 2 March 2026.
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Excited State Opto‐Ionic Reservoir Computing in Hybrid Perovskite Electrochemically‐Gated Luminescent Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 14, 6 March 2026.
A neuromorphic computing system exploiting opto‐ionic modulation in lead halide perovskite microcrystals demonstrates high‐dimensional reservoir dynamics with diffraction‐limited node resolution. Leveraging ultrafast excited‐state interactions, it achieves efficient computation (800 pJ/node‐operation), robustly distinguishing 4‐bit pulse sequences ...

Food‐Based Edible Wireless Sensing Device with Isotropic Electromagnetic Response for Gastrointestinal Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 6, 18 March 2026.
A sensor is fabricated that reflects electromagnetic waves wirelessly using only edible materials. The substrate is made of edible materials such as sugar and starch, and the electrodes are made of gold. This sensor has isotropic electromagnetic wave characteristics in response to rotation.

Upcycling Brewers' Spent Grain Into High‐Performance Protein Nanofibers for Sustainable Non‐Woven Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 10, Issue 3, March 2026.
A common brewing by‐product is transformed into fine, flexible fibers using a simple spinning process, pointing to a new route for turning waste into useful materials. The study shows how gentle post‐treatments make these fibers far more robust in everyday conditions, opening the door to sustainable fabrics and functional nonwovens.
