Peripheral blood proteome biomarkers distinguish immunosuppressive features of cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Immune status significantly influences cancer progression. This study used plasma proteomics to analyze benign 67NR and malignant 4T1 breast tumor models at early and late tumor stages. Immune‐related proteins–osteopontin (Spp1), lactotransferrin (Ltf), calreticulin (Calr) and peroxiredoxin 2 (Prdx2)–were associated with systemic myeloid‐derived ...

Desenvolvimento e validação de método analítico para quantificação do fármaco bevacizumabe por cromatografia a líquido de alta eficiência

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2012
In this study, an analytical method was developed and validated for quantitation of the drug bevacizumab (Avastin®) by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The HPLC column was a BioSuite 250® HR SEC, 300 x 7.8 mm x 5 µm (Waters, USA).

Determination of carbohydrates in infant milk powders by ultra-performance liquid chromatography with evaporative light scattering detector and BEH HILIC column [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
The possibility of carbohydrate separation in BEH HILIC (Ethylene Bridged Hybride, Hydrophilic Interaction Liquid Chromatography) column was studied by ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) with evaporative light scattering detector (ELSD) and mobile phase containing amine compounds as modifiers.

Plasma lipidomic and metabolomic profiles in high‐grade glioma patients before and after 72‐h presurgery water‐only fasting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.

Development and validation of a dissolution test for diltiazem hydrochloride in immediate release capsules

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2011
This work describes the development and validation of a dissolution test for 60 mg of diltiazem hydrochloride in immediate release capsules. The best dissolution in vitro profile was achieved using potassium phosphate buffer at pH 6.8 as the dissolution ...

Chemical characterization of the photodegradation products of midazolam complexes with randomly methylated-β-cyclodextrin by HPLC and LC-MS/MS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2016
Midazolam, a potent anxiolytic drug with sedative properties, is susceptible to degradation by both light and hydrolysis in aqueous solution. When formulated as an intranasal product it was found to be effective in achieving seizure control in ...

Oscillatory droplet dissolution from competing Marangoni and gravitational flows [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
The dissolution or growth of a droplet in a host liquid is an important part for processes like chemical extraction, chromatography or emulsification. In this work we look at the dissolution of a pair of vertically aligned droplets immersed in water, both experimentally and with numerical simulations.
