Determination of steroid estrogens in wastewater by high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry [PDF]
This paper discusses the requirement for, and presents an analytical procedure for, the determination of four unconjugated steroid hormones and a conjugated steroid (estrone-3-sulfate) in wastewaters.

Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′

We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Evolution through time of Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids detection and quantification [PDF]
Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids (PAs) are a group of naturally occurring alkaloids that are produced by plants as a defense mechanism against insect herbivores. The analytical methodologies employed for their detection have come a long way since the first analytical experiment and in the last 30 years had an enormous development, both technological and ...

Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

Analysis of polyamines in higher plants by high performance liquid chromatography.
A sensitive (0.01-1 nmol) method has been developed for the analysis of polyamines in higher plant extracts based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) of their benzoyl derivatives (Redmond, Tseng 1979 J Chromatogr 170: 479-481).

Measurement with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
Background: The global prevalence of diabetes mellitus is increasing rapidly. Measurement of glycated hemoglobin, predominantly HbA1c, is fundamental to the management of patients with diabetes. HbA1c is used to monitor long-term glycemic control, adjust

Peak Alignment of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Data with Deep Learning [PDF]
We present ChromAlignNet, a deep learning model for alignment of peaks in Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) data. In GC-MS data, a compound's retention time (RT) may not stay fixed across multiple chromatograms. To use GC-MS data for biomarker discovery requires alignment of identical analyte's RT from different samples.
