WiFi-Based Passive ISAR for High-Resolution Cross-Range Profiling of Moving Targets

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2014
This paper presents an effective signal processing scheme to track moving vehicles and to obtain their cross-range profiles with a passive bistatic radar (PBR) based on the signals of opportunity emitted by a WiFi router. While the target detection using WiFi-based PBR has already been studied by the authors, this paper focuses on the targets moving ...

High resolution VHF SAR processing using synthetic range profiling

IGARSS '96. 1996 International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2002
This paper demonstrates the use of stepped-frequency waveforms to obtain high resolution SAR images without imposing severe instantaneous bandwidth requirements on the radar system. Although azimuth compression and motion compensation are essential to obtain high resolution SAR images, this paper only discusses how to obtain high range resolutions ...

BiGRU Network for Human Activity Recognition in High Resolution Range Profile

2019 International Radar Conference (RADAR), 2019
The movements of the human body result in unique radar echo changes that can be exploited for classifying human activities. In this paper, we propose a bi-directional gated recurrent neural network (BiGRU) to classify human activities based on high resolution range profiles (HRRPs).

High-resolution Range Profiles Recognition Based on SAR/ISAR Images

2019 IEEE 3rd Advanced Information Management, Communicates, Electronic and Automation Control Conference (IMCEC), 2019
High-resolution radar range profile (HRRP) recognition has attracted a great attention for its real-time ability in imaging and processing. However, HRRP is very sensitive to aspect angle. Traditional methods, using range profile itself to create template set, require a large amount of targets’ range profiles in as many as aspect angles.

High resolution range profile statistical property analysis of radar target

6th International Conference on Signal Processing, 2002., 2003
When using high resolution range profile (HRRP) to radar target identification, we must know its statistical property including the stability and separability. This paper uses six kinds of aircraft scaling model data to analyze the statistical property of HRRP in detail.

High Resolution Range Profile Analysis in an OFDM Integrated Radar-Communication System

2018
Due to the data transmission requirements in traditional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) radars, the phase-coded OFDM (PC-OFDM) waveforms in which the PC sequence is controlled via transmitted messages are presented for radar-communication integrated applications.

High-resolution range profile synthesis based on a new radar waveform

2016 CIE International Conference on Radar (RADAR), 2016
A new waveform for high-resolution range profile synthesis with flexible bandwidth scalability is proposed in this paper. Its ambiguity function and frequency spectrum characteristics are spelled out. The signal employs a bounded function in the time domain to broaden bandwidth with time linearly.

The compensation method of high resolution range profile of the space radar target

SPIE Proceedings, 2005
The compensation method of high resolution range profile of radar targets was talked over in this paper. Based on the need of the wide band high resolution signal processing, this paper discussed the one dimensional high resolution range profile (HRRP) obtained by the linear frequency modulated (LFM) wave.

On the aspect sensitivity of high resolution range profiles and its reduction methods

Record of the IEEE 2000 International Radar Conference [Cat. No. 00CH37037], 2002
It has been shown that high resolution radar range profiles (HRRP) can serve as discriminative features for automatic target recognition (ATR) purpose. A HRRP at a single aspect, however, is very sensitive to the aspect change. For microwave radars, aspect change of tenths of 1/spl deg/ can cause drastic changes in HRRP of aircraft-like targets.

Radar high resolution range profiles analysis based on sparse decomposition

2012 IEEE International Workshop on Electromagnetics: Applications and Student Innovation Competition, 2012
The radar high resolution range profiles has been widely used in radar imaging and target recognition because of the simplicity and effectiveness to obtain. For the GTD model of radar target, this paper studies the reconstruction and feature extraction of high resolution range profiles using the method of sparse decomposition.
